*shrugs* I think that parodies and self-jabs and non-cruel hoaxes are fine, and I kind of like the spirit of it. I see it as one day where people can stop taking themselves so damned seriously.

On the other hand, harmful, juvenile pranks with no imagination are just fucking stupid on any day of the year. Changing your web site to gently mock your own life by reversing the personality style a la Bizarro World? Amusing. Letting the air out of someone's tires, or calling them and saying their kid's in jail? Boot to the head.
