I don't see how that would mine passwords (unless LJ sends the user/pass with each page change), but try it without being logged in to Livejournal.com proper.

So it's an auto-update script and completely irritating, nothing more.

According to a comment left in theferrett's LJ, the LJ Abuse team have determined that it's not mining passwords or anything. It still pisses me off, and it's a security hole that IMAO needs plugging before somebody does work out a way to widen it, but the danger isn't here yet.
