Adventures in self-medication
May. 25th, 2004 12:07 pmAnd it came to pass that our plucky young zero, who's been taking ¾ of a dried frog pill per day for the angry bees in his head, went yesterday to see his therapist, who (contrary to his expectations) did not recommend increasing the dosage to an entire pill. The next morning, at breakfast, he discovered that the pills he had left uncut in anticipation of that decision were still uncut, and took one, wondering what harm it could do.
He knows now what harm it could do. The sensations are less intense than on the first medication they gave him, but reminiscent nonetheless. He has chopped up the other pills and will not be increasing the dosage any time soon.
And he doesn't even want to think about how they'd interact with smart drugs.
