Capsule review: Chicken Little

I laughed. I jumped once or twice. My eyes did not remain dry throughout, at least I don't think they did. I recognized the voice of William Anderson about halfway through his participation. If you are, or have been, a child and this film is playing in your country, I highly recommend it.

Cath and I say it today- enjoyed it a lot, and whoever set up the musical cues sure sounded like they had a lot of fun. It managed to have a Message(tm) without being too preachy, which is always a plus, esp. in Disney films, and to voicework was top-notch.

The trailers that ran before the flick, though,,,Euugh. Do we really need another remake of Shaggy Dog, esp. as a Tim Allen vehicle?

Patrick Stewart did a nice job of blending in without my noticing him the way I did Simon Trent Adam West, which is probably cooler.

Somebody seemed to think so. And that it needed to blend in The Shaggy D.A. and have doggy behaviors carry over into human form. And have him run down an old lady in a Zimmer frame. If any Disney marketroids are reading this, that was when you definitively and irrevocably lost my parents as a target audience.
