My Christmas, the second half
Dec. 30th, 2008 10:45 amBefore I left for work on Friday, I advised mom that the copy of John Scalzi's The Last Colony she was planning to give to Rip was actually intended for me. There was a copy of The Last Colony waiting in my stocking when I got back, but mom claimed it had simply fallen to the wrong side of Santa's pack. (You have to humor grown-ups.)
On Saturday, we delivered the presents to the Maryland contingent and picked up their presents for us. My haul consisted of a bluish tartan button-y shirt and an assurance that Rip had ordered some of the CDs I requested and was having them shipped to me direct, hopefully to arrive Monday.
Apparently, they did show up Monday while I was at work, but I didn't get presented with them until this morning when I came down to breakfast. They were Fiona Apple's Tidal, Nirvana's Nevermind, and Gorillaz' eponymous debut.
This concludes my swag report. Don't worry, I'll wake you when you care. (-8
