It's a shame we need to say this, but...
Feb. 15th, 2004 09:21 am| Love is love and deserves respect. Marriage, at its best, is all about love. | |||||
Pass it on.
ADDED 10:35a: And happy belated Valentine's Day to all true lovers, everywhere.
Further edit 11:48a: Indigo speaks sooth. (I'd be telling her this direct, but she hasn't friended me, so as I understand it, I can't post comments in her journal.)
Re: hey, aberranteyes, why so hopeful? I like Robert Burns, "Is there for honest poverty" also!
Date: 2004-02-15 03:33 pm (UTC)Yes, and I've read the Newsweek article which makes it sound like the return of the Oberammergau Passion Play (the bad old days when it held the Jews personally responsible, forever, for "rejecting" Jesus). I've also read the Orcinus post that goes into further detail, noting that the man who seems so desperate to get a positive quote from the Pope was brought up in a radical ultramontanist Catholic sect which holds that all the popes from John XXIII onward have been illegitimate, anti-Christian pawns of "international bankers".
Oh, and I've also heard about some anonymous yipyop who's spamming people's comments sections with plugs for The Passion, regardless of whether those plugs have anything to do with the post he's making them in. Congratulations, you are...
BALEETED!
