First, re: the poll: I have no idea, which is the only reason I've not responded. *headdesk* I don't know anything about Sages or Theatrical Muse, and you already know my opinion of Milliways. ;) Fandom-wise, I'm not very familiar with much of what you mentioned -- it depends on what sort of interaction you're looking for! (Yes, not helpful, I know. *sigh*)

Second, re: plot developing at Milliways. I am sorry that I didn't mention it to you in advance! I am so VERY sorry. Although the idea's been building for some time, the actual timeframe for it exploded into being over the course of three days, and I didn't think there was even a chance you'd be around, given your usual schedule on AIM, and so it didn't cross my mind to say anything to you about it. Woe. Forgive me, please? *offers tea in apology*

TM is a community where pups answer questions put to them by the moderator; Michael and Strong Bad are both already hanging out there. Sages was started by camwyn, and it's a place where her pups (including sgt_rock) and others answer questions posed by the reading audience.

Which of the fandoms I listed are you familiar with? (This way, I don't waste time explaining the ones you already know.) I know you know the TU, and I'm guessing you know Star Wars, but beyond that, no certainty.

Plot: S'okay. There's nothing to forgive. *accepts tea gratefully* My schedule's rather variable, you'd no reason to assume I'd be there, and as Michael noted, you've got enough people in the rescue party already that it's not necessarily vital to have him along (for any other reason that his own concern over Moiraine). If they squeeze him in, cool; if not, I don't have to bite my nails over it. 8-)

Fandom-wise, I'm familiar with HP, Star Wars, and Homestar Runner (although I admit that I'm not overly fond of that last, so I don't follow it closely). TU I am familiar with only through conversing with you, actually -- that and the online research/reading I've done to be up-to-date on Michael's history, etc. :)

Plotwise: *looks relieved, refills tea* Thanks. At this point, I think Mat's chosen the party, and Michael's not in it (as I remember IC the last time Mat and Michael interacted, Mat was rather suspicious of him, so odds are he wouldn't have made the cut, pre-planning or no).

Just so you and Michael are aware, btw, it's likely that on Moiraine's eventual return that she's not going to be doing all that well. *sigh* She's having a bad time of it right now.

It's okay; H*R is something of an acquired taste. rabidfangurl told me, when I mentioned I was thinking of bringing in a second H*R pup (one with connections to Strong Bad), that as far as she's concerned, the less Strong Bad, the better. And researching Michael's history, the parts of it he hasn't already told Moiraine, is a good way to get informed on the history of the TU — he's one of two people who are that history, in a very real sense. (Max Mercer, of course, is the other.) He's a good guy in Adventure!, a bad guy in Aberrant (insofaras there's a line between good and evil in the Nova Age), and the ultimate bogeyman in the Trinity era.

Artemis Fowl (which had two votes last I checked) is young adult fantasy by Eoin Colfer, about a teenage criminal mastermind who decides to rob from the Fair Folk of his world (who use a mix of magic and ultra-tech). Azumanga Daioh, according to its official website,

follows the hilariously touching day-to-day adventures of a group of almost-ordinary high school girls and their extra-ordinary teachers and surroundings, in a manner reminiscent of Peanuts and Calvin and Hobbes.

(Notice I carefully didn't say what character I'd be playing from either of these fandoms? Or any of the others, for that matter?)

And good point on Mat not trusting Michael enough to bring him along. Michael's all busted up inside about it, of course, but he understands, and he knows Moiraine'll be in good hands. I sit warned on the condition she'll be in, but I'm not going to tell Michael just yet; I want his reaction to be honest. 8->

At some point, I seem to have cooled on the idea. Sorry. I think it was a delayed effect of hooper_x telling me (in AIM) that there was already a jim_gordon journal, and that "About half the posts are about how hot Batgirl is. [...] And how if he were a younger man, oh boy!" But if and when I do a revised version of the "Which fandom?" poll, it'll have the DCU on there (along with any other fandoms I remember, besides the one I know I should've included but didn't*).
