They'd both gone into Chrysalis about the same time. (Chrysalis: the meditative state devised by Divis Mal that allows Terats to take control of their own evolutionary destiny.) When Marcel emerged and Caroline didn't, he decided she was an unworthy leader and transferred his follower impulses to Jeremiah Scripture (Mal's life-partner, though d20 Aberrant didn't mention that).

[Aberrant] T2MEu raids Caroline Fong's home in Bath, led by Marcel Delorimier's anonymous tip to Saxon, and carry the chrysalized Terat to Bahrain for study.
